Gamble holds a [bachelor's degree](/source/Bachelor's_degree) from the [State University of New York](/source/State_University_of_New_York) and an [MBA](/source/Master_of_Business_Administration) from [Clarkson University](/source/Clarkson_University). While attending school in the town of Potsdam, Brian became a member of the Fraternity Phi Chi Epsilon. ## Television appearances Gamble is a [Ninjutsu](/source/Ninjutsu) expert, having studied the technique for nine years.[2] He is also proficient in [amateur wrestling](/source/Amateur_wrestling), Seishin Teki Kyoko, [Aikido](/source/Aikido), [Taekwondo](/source/Taekwondo), [Tang Soo Do](/source/Tang_Soo_Do) (tangsudo) and [kickboxing](/source/Kickboxing), and is trained in the usage of a variety of [mêlée](/source/M%C3%AAl%C3%A9e) and ranged weapons. His fighting skills led to him appearing on *[Mortal Kombat: Conquest](/source/Mortal_Kombat:_Conquest)* as an [extra](/source/Extra_(drama)) and taking part in an episode of *[American Gladiators](/source/American_Gladiators_(1989_TV_series))* in which he set the [world record](/source/World_record) in the "Wall" contest.[2] In addition, Gamble also served as a [bodyguard](/source/Bodyguard) for the singer [Alice Cooper](/source/Alice_Cooper) and the band [Queens of the Stone Age](/source/Queens_of_the_Stone_Age).[2] Between 1999 and 2001, Gamble appeared on *[RollerJam](/source/RollerJam)* as a [skater](/source/Roller_skating). He competed for the New York Enforcers, the Texas Rustlers and Illinois Riot.[1] Following the cancellation of *RollerJam*, he returned to his study of [martial arts](/source/Martial_art).[2] ## Professional wrestling career Gamble trained as a wrestler under [Dory Funk Jr.](/source/Dory_Funk_Jr.)[2] He appeared on the December 22, 2001 episode of *[WWF Jakked](/source/WWE_Jakked_/_Metal)*, losing to [Perry Saturn](/source/Perry_Saturn). This match was infamous for taking place in Gamble's hometown. Gamble, not wanting look bad in defeat in front of his friends and family, began no-selling Saturn's offense. Saturn would retaliate by legitimately striking Gamble and locking him in a shoot [arm lock](/source/Professional_wrestling_holds#Strangle_Hold_Gamma) to make him submit.[2] Also that same night he lost to Sean Hill in a dark match.[2] In 2003, Gamble began wrestling on the [Floridan](/source/Florida) [independent circuit](/source/Independent_circuit), achieving his greatest successes in Southern Championship Wrestling. On July 13, 2003, Gamble defeated David Mercury in the finals of a tournament held to crown the first ever SCW Heavyweight Champion. He held the title until August 16, when he lost to Thump Dupree in [Mount Dora](/source/Mount_Dora,_Florida). His next title win came on December 12 of that year, when he defeated Jason Hexx to win the SCW Southern Heavyweight Championship in [DeBary](/source/DeBary,_Florida). He lost the title to "Classy" Chris Nelson on February 21, 2004, but regained the title on April 17 in [Altamonte Springs](/source/Altamonte_Springs,_Florida). His second and final reign ended on May 22 when he lost to Hexx. Gamble has made several televised appearances with [Total Nonstop Action Wrestling](/source/Impact_Wrestling) as a [jobber](/source/Job_(professional_wrestling)). On the October 1, 2004, episode of [*Impact!*](/source/TNA_Impact!), Gamble was defeated by the then-[NWA World Heavyweight Champion](/source/NWA_World_Heavyweight_Championship) [Jeff Jarrett](/source/Jeff_Jarrett).[2] Two weeks later, Gamble was scheduled to face [Abyss](/source/Abyss_(wrestler)), but [Raven](/source/Raven_(wrestler)) hit him from behind with a chair and took his place in the match.
