**Breddin** is a [municipality](/source/Municipalities_of_Germany) in the [Ostprignitz-Ruppin](/source/Ostprignitz-Ruppin) district, in [Brandenburg](/source/Brandenburg), Germany.

## History

From 1815 to 1945, Breddin was part of the [Prussian](/source/Prussia) [Province of Brandenburg](/source/Province_of_Brandenburg). From 1952 to 1990, it was part of the [Bezirk Potsdam](/source/Bezirk_Potsdam) of [East Germany](/source/East_Germany).
