The '''Breadfield''' ({{langx|ro|Câmpul Pâinii,}} {{langx|hu|Kenyérmező}}, {{langx|de|Brodfeld}}, {{langx|tr|Ekmekoltağı}}) is a region in southwest [Transylvania](/source/Transylvania), [Romania](/source/Romania) between [Orăștie](/source/Or%C4%83%C8%99tie) ''(Szászváros)'' and [Sebeș](/source/Sebe%C8%99) ''(Szászsebes)'' in the Transylvanian Saxon land, near the [Mureș River](/source/Mure%C8%99_(river)). The central settlement is [Cugir](/source/Cugir) ({{langx|hu|Kudzsir}}, {{langx|de|Kudschir}}, {{langx|tr|Kuçir}}).

The [Cugir River](/source/Cugir_(river))'s old Magyar name is ''Kenyér'' ([bread](/source/bread)), which gave rise to the name ''Breadfield''. The region's borders to the south are the [Cugir Mountains](/source/%C8%98ureanu_Mountains), to the north the Mureș River, to the west [Hunedoara County](/source/Hunedoara_County), and to the east the [Sebeș River](/source/Sebe%C8%99_(river)).

The area is a fertile plain. Formerly, Breadfield's population was largely [Saxons](/source/Transylvanian_Saxons),{{When|date=March 2025}} but today it is chiefly [Romanians](/source/Romanians). In 1479 the Hungarians scored a victory over the [Ottoman Army](/source/Army_of_the_classical_Ottoman_Empire) in the [Battle of Breadfield](/source/Battle_of_Breadfield), near [Șibot](/source/%C8%98ibot). In remembrance of the victory, [Stephen V Báthory](/source/Stephen_V_B%C3%A1thory) built a chapel.
