# Brandon Agounon

**Brandon Agounon** (born 19 October 1994) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) for [Championnat National 2](/source/Championnat_National_2) club [Créteil](/source/US_Cr%C3%A9teil-Lusitanos).[1] Born in France, he plays for the [Benin national team](/source/Benin_national_football_team).

## Club career

Agounon joined [Clermont](/source/Clermont_Foot) in 2012 from [Caen](/source/Stade_Malherbe_Caen). He made his [Ligue 2](/source/Ligue_2) debut on 18 October 2013 against [Nancy](/source/AS_Nancy) in a 3–2 away defeat.[2] In August 2017, he was loaned to [Boulogne](/source/US_Boulogne) for the 2017–18 season.[3] He left in June 2018 to join [Ermis Aradippou](/source/Ermis_Aradippou_FC) in [Cyprus](/source/Cyprus).[4]

In June 2019, Agounon returned to France with [Villefranche](/source/FC_Villefranche_Beaujolais).[5] In July 2020, he signed a two-year deal with [Bourg-en-Bresse](/source/Football_Bourg-en-Bresse_P%C3%A9ronnas_01).[6] In 2022, Agounon joined [Orléans](/source/US_Orl%C3%A9ans).[7]

## International career

Born in France, Agounon was born to a Beninese father and Congolese mother. He has previously been called up by youth teams of DR Congo.[8] In June 2023, he was called up to the [Benin national team](/source/Benin_national_football_team).[9]
