# Brahim Taleb

**Brahim Taleb** (born 16 February 1985) is a [Moroccan](/source/Morocco) [long-distance runner](/source/Long-distance_track_event) who specializes in the [3000 metres steeplechase](/source/3000_metres_steeplechase).

He finished fifth at the [2001 World Youth Championships](/source/2001_World_Youth_Championships_in_Athletics) and fourth at the [2006 African Championships](/source/2006_African_Championships_in_Athletics). He also competed at the [2007 World Championships](/source/2007_World_Championships_in_Athletics_%E2%80%93_Men's_3000_metres_steeplechase) and the [2008 Olympic Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_3000_metre_steeplechase) without reaching the final.[1]

At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he reached the final and finished in 11th.[2]

His personal best time was 8:07.02 minutes, achieved in July 2007 in [Heusden-Zolder](/source/Heusden-Zolder).[1]
