The '''Bow Range''' is a [mountain range](/source/mountain_range) of the [Park Ranges](/source/Park_Ranges) in [Alberta](/source/Alberta) and [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), [Canada](/source/Canada). The range is named in association with the [Bow River](/source/Bow_River) and was officially adopted on March 31, 1917 by the [Geographic Board of Canada](/source/Geographic_Board_of_Canada).<ref name=bcgnis>{{cite bcgnis|473|Bow Range|2009-01-13}}</ref>

It is a part of the [Banff](/source/Banff%2C_Alberta)-[Lake Louise](/source/Lake_Louise%2C_Alberta) Core Area of the Southern [Continental Ranges](/source/Continental_Ranges), located on the [Continental Divide](/source/Continental_Divide_of_the_Americas), west of the Bow River valley, in [Banff National Park](/source/Banff_National_Park) and [Kootenay National Park](/source/Kootenay_National_Park).

The Bow Range covers a surface area of {{cvt|717|sqkm|sqmi}}, has a length of 34&nbsp;km (from north to south) and a maximum width of 43&nbsp;km.<ref name=pb>{{cite peakbagger |rid=141312 |name=Bow Range |access-date=2006-09-20}}</ref> The highest peak is  Mount Temple, with an elevation of {{convert|3543|m|ft|0|abbr=on}}.<ref name=crdb/>  The range also covers the [Valley of the Ten Peaks](/source/Valley_of_the_Ten_Peaks), with the tallest of the ten being Mount Hungabee at 3492 metres. The range also has hiking areas such as the Consolation Lakes, Sentinel Pass-Larch Valley, Wenkchenma Pass-Eiffel Lake, the [Beehive](/source/The_Beehive_(Alberta)) plain of the Six Glaciers system and Saddle Back Pass.
