**Boutros**, **Botros** or **Butrus** (Arabic: بطرس) is the Arabic form of the name *[Peter](/source/Peter_(name))*, derived directly from [Greek](/source/Greek_language) Πέτρος (*Petros*) and also complimented by Coptic: *ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ* and syr: *ܦܛܪܘܣ*.
