It was founded in 1980 by the violinist [Robert Brink](/source/Robert_Brink). The orchestra's music director was [Steven Lipsitt](/source/Steven_Lipsitt). It performed at [Faneuil Hall](/source/Faneuil_Hall).

The orchestra has performed music by [Tison Street](/source/Tison_Street).
