**Boland Park** is a [multi-purpose stadium](/source/Multi-purpose_stadium) in [Paarl](/source/Paarl), [South Africa](/source/South_Africa). It is currently used mostly for [cricket](/source/Cricket) matches and hosted three matches during the [2003 Cricket World Cup](/source/2003_Cricket_World_Cup). [Boland cricket team](/source/Boland_(cricket_team)) and the [Paarl Royals](/source/Paarl_Royals) both stage home matches at the ground. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 people.

## History

- In 1997, the stadium hosted its first [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) (ODI) match between [India](/source/India_national_cricket_team) and [Zimbabwe](/source/Zimbabwe_national_cricket_team). It was a Tri-Series match which ended in a tie.

- On 11 January 2012, hosts South Africa beat [Sri Lanka](/source/Sri_Lanka_national_cricket_team) by a margin of 258 [runs](/source/Run_(cricket)) in an ODI. Sri Lanka were [dismissed](/source/Dismissal_(cricket)) for a low total of 43, the lowest ODI total in their history.[1]
