'''Bodom Chapel''' ({{langx|no|Bodom kapell}}) is a [parish church](/source/parish_church) of the [Church of Norway](/source/Church_of_Norway) in [Steinkjer Municipality](/source/Steinkjer_Municipality) in [Trøndelag](/source/Tr%C3%B8ndelag) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). It is located in the upper [Ogndalen](/source/Ogndalen) valley, about {{convert|26|km}} east of the [town of Steinkjer](/source/Steinkjer_(town)). It is one of the churches for the Ogndal [parish](/source/parish), part of the [Stiklestad prosti](/source/Stiklestad_prosti) ([deanery](/source/deanery)) in the [Diocese of Nidaros](/source/Diocese_of_Nidaros). The white, wooden chapel was built in a [long church](/source/Churches_in_Norway) style in 1905 using plans drawn up by the [architect](/source/architect) Søren Wiese Opsahl. ==History==
The chapel was initially built to serve the upper Ogndalen valley. David Kristian Bodom left money to the parish after his death to help fund the chapel's construction. The new chapel was [consecrate](/source/consecrate)d on 1 August 1905 by [Bishop](/source/Bishop) [Vilhelm Andreas Wexelsen](/source/Vilhelm_Andreas_Wexelsen). Later, the chapel was upgraded to be a full parish church.
