**Bocanda** is a town in east-central [Ivory Coast](/source/Ivory_Coast). It is a [sub-prefecture](/source/Sub-prefectures_of_Ivory_Coast) of and seat of [Bocanda Department](/source/Bocanda_Department) in [N'Zi Region](/source/N'Zi_Region), [Lacs District](/source/Lacs_District). Bocanda is also a [commune](/source/Communes_of_Ivory_Coast).

In 2014, the population of the sub-prefecture of Bocanda was 60,183.[2]

## Economy

Though Bocanda cultivated [coffee](/source/Coffee) and [cocoa](/source/Cocoa_bean),[3] agriculture in the region is currently considered underdeveloped, which has implications for local economic growth.[4]

## Landmarks

## Demographics
