# Bobby Mackey

**Robert Randall "Bobby" Mackey** (born March 25, 1948) is a [traditional country music](/source/Traditional_country_music) singer whose career has spanned 40 years.[2] His musical style can be described by his loyalty to [Hank Williams](/source/Hank_Williams), [Merle Haggard](/source/Merle_Haggard), [George Jones](/source/George_Jones), [Buck Owens](/source/Buck_Owens), [Conway Twitty](/source/Conway_Twitty), and [Johnny Paycheck](/source/Johnny_Paycheck), and is the foundation for his musical success.

Mackey opened [Bobby Mackey's Music World](/source/Bobby_Mackey's_Music_World) in September 1978 in Wilder, Kentucky, along the Licking River,[3] next to the same railroad track that he worked in his youth. Bobby Mackey's has been featured on network television shows such as *[Ghost Hunters](/source/Ghost_Hunters_(TV_series))*, *[Ghost Adventures](/source/Ghost_Adventures)*, *[Most Terrifying Places in America](/source/Most_Terrifying_Places_in_America)*, *[My Ghost Story](/source/My_Ghost_Story)*, and *[A Haunting](/source/A_Haunting)*. *USA Today* quotes [Zak Bagans](/source/Zak_Bagans) of Ghost Adventures[4] as saying Bobby Mackey's is "one of the 10 most haunted places in America."
