**Robert Verrill Kuhn** (January 5, 1922 – November 28, 2009), professionally known as **Bob Keane**,[1] and also sometimes known as **Bob Keene**, was an American [musician](/source/Musician), [producer](/source/Record_producer) and the founder and owner of the [record label](/source/Record_label) [Del-Fi Records](/source/Del-Fi_Records). He was the producer and manager of [Ritchie Valens](/source/Ritchie_Valens) and [Pinoy](/source/Pinoy) star [Josephine Roberto](/source/Josephine_Roberto), aka Banig.[2]

## Death

Keane was diagnosed with [non-Hodgkin's lymphoma](/source/Non-Hodgkin's_lymphoma) when he was 87, and died of [kidney failure](/source/Kidney_failure) on November 28, 2009.[3]
