# Bob Ide

**Robert "Bob" Ide** is an American politician and commercial real estate developer who has served as a member of the [Wyoming Senate](/source/Wyoming_Senate) from the [29th district](/source/Wyoming's_29th_State_Senate_district) since his appointment by [Natrona County](/source/Natrona_County,_Wyoming) Commission on December 6, 2022.[1]

## Career

Ide is a businessperson in the real estate industry.[2] In 2022, he defeated incumbent Republican [Drew Perkins](/source/Drew_Perkins) in the primary election.[3] His candidacy was endorsed by former congressman [Ron Paul](/source/Ron_Paul).[2] Following primary defeat, Perkins resigned from office. Following Ide's victory in the general election, he was appointed by the county commission to serve Perkins' unexpired term.[4]
