***Blue Limbo*** is the ninth studio album by [Susumu Hirasawa](/source/Susumu_Hirasawa), released on February 13, 2003.

## Background

The [dystopian](/source/Dystopia) themes of the album were influenced by the [Iraq War](/source/Iraq_War) and the remaining traces of the [Cambodian Civil War](/source/Cambodian_Civil_War). One day before its release, "High-Minded Castle" and a new re-recording of "Love Song" from *[Aurora](/source/Aurora_(Susumu_Hirasawa_album))* were given away for free to be used as a way to protest against the [American response](/source/U.S._government_response_to_the_September_11,_2001_attacks) to the [September 11 attacks](/source/September_11_attacks) and the compliance of the [Japanese](/source/Japan) government to those actions.[1]
