They formed in [Echo Park](/source/Echo_Park%2C_Los_Angeles), [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles), [California](/source/California) during 2011, with [Mika Miko](/source/Mika_Miko) front woman Jennifer Clavin and guitarist Jessica Clavin.
