# Blanco Bay

**Blanco Bay** is a bay located to the north of [Stanley, Falkland Islands](/source/Stanley,_Falkland_Islands).[1] It contains the Sparrow Cove. Gypsy Cove and the smaller [Yorke Bay](/source/Yorke_Bay) lie in its southern part to the northwest of [Port Stanley Airport](/source/Port_Stanley_Airport). A small [channel](/source/Channel_(geography)) passes through to the town of Port Stanley itself.
