The **Blackwater Smooth Razor** was a Philippine [3x3 basketball](/source/3x3_basketball) team which competed in the [PBA 3x3](/source/PBA_3x3), organized by the Philippines' top-flight professional league, [Philippine Basketball Association](/source/Philippine_Basketball_Association) (PBA). The team is affiliated with the PBA member [franchise](/source/Franchise_(sports)) team [Blackwater Bossing](/source/Blackwater_Bossing).

## History

[Blackwater Bossing](/source/Blackwater_Bossing) did not field a team in the inaugural [2021 PBA 3x3 season](/source/2021_PBA_3x3_season) despite being one of the twelve regular [franchise](/source/Franchise_(sports)) teams of the main 5x5 PBA league. This is due to cost-cutting measures of Blackwater's parent company [Ever Bilena](/source/Ever_Bilena) which was significantly impacted by the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic).[1] Blackwater announced intention to join in for the third conference in May 2022 but ultimately did not take part.[2][3] The team later joined the PBA 3x3 in the [2022–23 season](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_PBA_3x3_season).[4]

Following the shelving of the PBA 3x3 after the conclusion of the [2023–24 season](/source/2023%E2%80%9324_PBA_3x3_season), the team would be disbanded.[5]
