**Bischheim** (biʃaim; gsw-fr: *Bésche*) is a [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [Bas-Rhin](/source/Bas-Rhin) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) and [Grand Est](/source/Grand_Est) [region](/source/Regions_of_France) of north-eastern [France](/source/France).

## Geography

The town is bordered by [Hoenheim](/source/Hoenheim), [Strasbourg](/source/Strasbourg), [Schiltigheim](/source/Schiltigheim), and [Niederhausbergen](/source/Niederhausbergen). It lies on the [Ill](/source/Ill_(France)) and the canal between the [Rhine](/source/Rhine) and the [Rhône](/source/Rh%C3%B4ne) ([Rhône–Rhine Canal](/source/Rh%C3%B4ne%E2%80%93Rhine_Canal)).
