**Billy Joe Padden** is a [Gaelic footballer](/source/Gaelic_football) from [County Mayo](/source/County_Mayo), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland). He began his playing career with [Belmullet](/source/Belmullet) GAC and played at all levels for the [Mayo county team](/source/Mayo_county_football_team).[1]

He subsequently moved to [County Armagh](/source/County_Armagh), joining [St Patrick's Carrickcruppen GFC](/source/St_Patrick's_Carrickcruppen_GFC) and playing at senior level for the [Armagh county team](/source/Armagh_county_football_team). He is a son of Mayo legend [Willie Joe Padden](/source/Willie_Joe_Padden).[2]
