# Billy Eden

**William Eden** (1 July 1905 – 1993) was an English [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as an [outside left](/source/Outside_left) for [Darlington](/source/Darlington_F.C.), [Sunderland](/source/Sunderland_A.F.C.), [Tranmere Rovers](/source/Tranmere_Rovers_F.C.) and [New Brighton](/source/New_Brighton_A.F.C.).[1] He made 152 appearances for Tranmere, scoring 31 goals.[2]
