==Career==
Kopp studied animation at the [California Institute of the Arts](/source/California_Institute_of_the_Arts). In 1984, he won a Merit Award from the [Student Academy Awards](/source/Student_Academy_Awards) for ''Mr. Gloom''. In 1985, he won a Student Academy Award for ''Observational Hazard''.

Kopp animated the Whammy on the 1980s game show ''[Press Your Luck](/source/Press_Your_Luck)'' and voiced the title character on [Fox](/source/Fox_Broadcasting_Company)'s ''[Eek! The Cat](/source/Eek!_The_Cat)'' and Kutter in ''[The Terrible Thunderlizards](/source/The_Terrible_Thunderlizards)'', which he created with [Savage Steve Holland](/source/Savage_Steve_Holland). Kopp created ''[The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show](/source/The_Shnookums_and_Meat_Funny_Cartoon_Show)'' and ''[Mad Jack the Pirate](/source/Mad_Jack_the_Pirate)'', worked as an executive producer and writer for ''[Toonsylvania](/source/Toonsylvania)'', produced and directed ''[Tom and Jerry](/source/Tom_and_Jerry)'' cartoons, wrote ''[Hare and Loathing in Las Vegas](/source/Hare_and_Loathing_in_Las_Vegas)'' and ''[The Incredible Crash Dummies](/source/The_Incredible_Crash_Dummies)''.  Kopp worked on the story of the three ''Roger Rabbit Shorts'', [Tummy Trouble](/source/Tummy_Trouble), ''[Roller Coaster Rabbit](/source/Roller_Coaster_Rabbit)'', and ''[Trail Mix-Up](/source/Trail_Mix-Up)''.
