# Bilal Velija

**Bilal Velija** (born 22 October 1982) is a [North Macedonia](/source/North_Macedonia) former professional footballer who played as a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)).

## Career

Velija joined [Olimpik Baku](/source/AZAL_PFC) during the 2008 winter transfer window, helping them finish second in the [2007–08](/source/2007%E2%80%9308_Azerbaijan_Premier_League) season before leaving the club in June 2008.[1]

In March 2009, Velija signed a two-year contract with [Løv-Ham](/source/L%C3%B8v-Ham_Fotball) of the [Adeccoligaen](/source/Adeccoligaen).[2] Velija's time in Norway came to an end in 2010, when Løv-Ham decided to return to a semi-professional club, therefore releasing their full-time players, which included Velija.[3]

In February 2014, Velija went on trial with [Veikkausliiga](/source/Veikkausliiga) side [VPS](/source/Vaasan_Palloseura),[4] playing for them twice in the [League Cup](/source/Finnish_League_Cup) before returning to Gostivar. In April of the same year, Velija signed a six-month contract with [Finnish Second Tier](/source/Ykk%C3%B6nen) side [JJK](/source/JJK_Jyv%C3%A4skyl%C3%A4).[5]

Velija joined [Musan Salama](/source/Musan_Salama) of the Finnish third tier [Kakkonen](/source/Kakkonen) in 2015.[6]
