# Biblen

***Biblen*** is a [stage play](/source/Play_(theatre)) from [Denmark](/source/Denmark), performed at [Nørrebros Theater](/source/N%C3%B8rrebros_Theater) during early 2008 (23 February to 26 April). It takes the form of a [skrako play](https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skrako), a Danish kind of play which blends [acting](/source/Acting), [rapping](/source/Rapping), and [stand-up comedy](/source/Stand-up_comedy). All roles in *Biblen* were performed by stand-up comedians [Jonatan Spang](/source/Jonatan_Spang), [Rune Klan](/source/Rune_Klan) (also a [magician](/source/Magic_(illusion))), and [Linda P](/source/Linda_P), and rappers [Blæs Bukki](/source/Bl%C3%A6s_Bukki) and [Tue Track](/source/Tue_Track).

The play is based on the [Bible](/source/Bible), deriving its plot from a number of [Biblical stories](/source/Bible_story), such as [Cain and Abel](/source/Cain_and_Abel), [Noah's Ark](/source/Noah's_Ark), [Moses](/source/Moses) and the [Ten Commandments](/source/Ten_Commandments), the [Workers in the Vineyard](/source/Parable_of_the_Workers_in_the_Vineyard), the [Last Supper](/source/Last_Supper), and the [crucifixion of Jesus](/source/Crucifixion_of_Jesus). It also serves as a satire of the Bible, the [Church of Denmark](/source/Church_of_Denmark), and the [Danish relationship with religion](/source/Religion_in_Denmark) more broadly.
