**Biard** (bjaʁ) is a [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [Vienne](/source/Vienne_(department)) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) in the [Nouvelle-Aquitaine](/source/Nouvelle-Aquitaine) [region](/source/Regions_of_France) in western France, in the [Boivre](/source/Boivre) valley.

A suburb of [Poitiers](/source/Poitiers), Biard gives its name to the [Poitiers–Biard Airport](/source/Poitiers%E2%80%93Biard_Airport), located 2 km west of the city.

Local facilities [2] include a primary school, municipal stadium and the Stade Marcel Guérin, operated by the [SNCF](/source/SNCF) for railway workers.
