**Bhola-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Burhanuddin](/source/Burhanuddin_Upazila) and [Daulatkhan](/source/Daulatkhan_Upazila) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Bakerganj constituency when the former [Bakerganj District](/source/Backergunge_District) was split into four districts: [Bhola](/source/Bhola_District), [Bakerganj](/source/Barisal_District), [Jhalokati](/source/Jhalokati_District), and [Pirojpur](/source/Pirojpur_District).

Tofael Ahmed stood for two seats in the 1991 general election: [Bhola-1](/source/Bhola-1) and Bhola-2. After winning both, he chose to represent the former and quit the latter, triggering a by-election.[9][10] [Mosharraf Hossain Shahjahan](/source/Mosharraf_Hossain_Shahjahan) of the BNP was elected in a September 1991 by-election.[11]
