**Bhitarwar Assembly constituency** is one of the 230 [Vidhan Sabha](/source/Madhya_Pradesh_Vidhan_Sabha) (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh) state in central [India](/source/India).[1] This constituency came into existence in 2008, following the delimitation of the assembly constituencies. This constituency covers parts of the erstwhile [Gird](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gird_Assembly_constituency&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Dabra](/source/Dabra_Assembly_constituency) constituencies.

## Overview

Bhitarwar (constituency number 18) is one of the 6 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in [Gwalior district](/source/Gwalior_district). This constituency covers the entire Bhitarwar [tehsil](/source/Tehsil) and part of Gwalior tehsil of the district.[2]

Bhitarwar is part of [Gwalior Lok Sabha constituency](/source/Gwalior_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)) along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, [Gwalior](/source/Gwalior_Assembly_constituency), [Gwalior East](/source/Gwalior_East_Assembly_constituency), [Gwalior South](/source/Gwalior_South_Assembly_constituency), [Gwalior Rural](/source/Gwalior_Rural_Assembly_constituency) and [Dabra](/source/Dabra_Assembly_constituency) in this district and [Karera](/source/Karera_Assembly_constituency) and [Pohari](/source/Pohari_Assembly_constituency) in [Shivpuri district](/source/Shivpuri_district).[2]
