**Bhind Assembly constituency** is one of the 230 [Vidhan Sabha](/source/Madhya_Pradesh_Vidhan_Sabha) (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh) state in central [India](/source/India).[2] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile [Madhya Bharat](/source/Madhya_Bharat) state.[1]

## Overview

Bhind (constituency number 10) is one of the 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in [Bhind district](/source/Bhind_district). This constituency covers part of Bhind [tehsil](/source/Tehsil), [Akoda](/source/Akoda) [nagar panchayat](/source/Nagar_panchayat) and [Bhind](/source/Bhind) municipality.[3]

Bhind is part of [Bhind Lok Sabha constituency](/source/Bhind_Lok_Sabha_constituency) along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, [Ater](/source/Ater_Assembly_constituency), [Lahar](/source/Lahar_Assembly_constituency), [Mehgaon](/source/Mehgaon_Assembly_constituency) and [Gohad](/source/Gohad_Assembly_constituency) in this district and [Sewda](/source/Sewda_Assembly_constituency), [Bhander](/source/Bhander_Assembly_constituency) and [Datia](/source/Datia_Assembly_constituency) in [Datia district](/source/Datia_district).[3]
