**Bhander** is a town and a [nagar panchayat](/source/Nagar_panchayat) in [Datia district](/source/Datia_district) in the state of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh).

## Geography

Bhander is located at [25°44′N 78°45′E / 25.73°N 78.75°E / 25.73; 78.75](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?pagename=Bhander&params=25.73_N_78.75_E_).[1] It has an average elevation of 211 metres (692 feet). [Pahuj River](/source/Pahuj_River) flow's from the town boundary.

Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bhander has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 76% and female literacy of 59%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
