**Besteland**[1] is a village in [Valle Municipality](/source/Valle_Municipality) in [Agder](/source/Agder) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). The village is located along the river [Otra](/source/Otra) in the [Setesdal](/source/Setesdal) valley, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) south of the village of [Rysstad](/source/Rysstad). The [Norwegian National Road 9](/source/Norwegian_National_Road_9) runs through the village.
