American mathematician

**Bertha Irene Hart** was an American [mathematician](/source/Mathematician). She had a [Master of Arts](/source/Master_of_Arts) degree from [Cornell University](/source/Cornell_University), and was at one point an associate professor of mathematics for [Western Maryland College](/source/McDaniel_College).[1]

## Affiliations

In 1946 she was elected to “ordinary membership” of the [American Mathematical Society](/source/American_Mathematical_Society).[2]

She was elected as a Fellow of the [American Association for the Advancement of Science](/source/American_Association_for_the_Advancement_of_Science) in 1957. At that time she was also affiliated with the [Ballistic Research Laboratory](/source/Ballistic_Research_Laboratory).[3]
