**Albert William Addinall**[1] (30 January 1921 – May 2005) was an English professional [footballer](/source/Association_football). He scored 92 goals from 222 games in [the Football League](/source/The_Football_League) playing for [Queens Park Rangers](/source/Queens_Park_Rangers_F.C.), [Brighton & Hove Albion](/source/Brighton_%26_Hove_Albion_F.C.) and [Crystal Palace](/source/Crystal_Palace_F.C.) as a [centre forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)).

## Career

Addinall was born in [Marylebone](/source/Marylebone), London. He joined [Queens Park Rangers](/source/Queens_Park_Rangers_F.C.) in April 1945 from British Oxygen. His league debut came in September 1946 in the 3–0 win against [AFC Bournemouth](/source/AFC_Bournemouth) and he went on to play 150 league games scoring 59 goals.

Addinall left QPR for [Brighton & Hove Albion](/source/Brighton_%26_Hove_Albion_F.C.) in January 1953, where he was again a regular goalscorer. He moved to [Crystal Palace](/source/Crystal_Palace_F.C.) in July 1954, playing twelve league games,[2] before ending his league career. He went on to play [non-League football](/source/Non-League_football) for [Snowdown Colliery Welfare](/source/Snowdown_Colliery_Welfare_F.C.). Addinall died in May 2005.[3]
