# Bernice Adams

**Bernice Adams** (born [August 1949](https://web.archive.org/web/20170401152337/https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/VFAIOI30IkzOq-Ww54n6v_dZ9Ew/appointments)) is an English stage and television actress.

The [London](/source/London)-born Adams studied at a dancing school for three years from age thirteen. She went on to work on stage in [pantomime](/source/Pantomime), [variety shows](/source/Variety_show) and [cabaret](/source/Cabaret). Late in the 1950s she appeared in [West End](/source/West_End_theatre) musicals including *[The Most Happy Fella](/source/The_Most_Happy_Fella)*, *[Gentlemen Prefer Blondes](/source/Gentlemen_Prefer_Blondes_(musical))*, *[Promises, Promises](/source/Promises,_Promises_(musical))*, *[Gypsy](/source/Gypsy_(musical))*, *[Sweet Charity](/source/Sweet_Charity)*, and the *[Dad's Army](/source/Dad's_Army#Stage_show)*.

On television she appeared in *[It Ain't Half Hot Mum](/source/It_Ain't_Half_Hot_Mum)*, *[Dad's Army](/source/Dad's_Army)* and *[Are You Being Served?](/source/Are_You_Being_Served%3F)* In the 1980s Adams gave up acting and became a production manager for a dance and theatre company, eventually relocating to France. She now lives in [Monte Carlo](/source/Monte_Carlo).
