**Berceto** ([Parmigiano](/source/Parmigiano_dialect): *Bersèjj*, *Barsäi* or *Bersè*; [Ligurian](/source/Ligurian_language): *Bercèi*) is a village and *[comune](/source/Comune)* in [Italy](/source/Italy), located in the [Apennine Mountains](/source/Apennine_Mountains) on the main road between [La Spezia](/source/La_Spezia) and [Parma](/source/Parma), in the [Taro River](/source/Taro_River) valley, in the region of [Emilia-Romagna](/source/Emilia-Romagna).

The main church in the comune is the Duomo of [San Moderanno](/source/San_Moderanno%2C_Berceto) founded in the 9th century and with Lombard era sculptures. Other sights include the remains of the [Castle of Berceto](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Castle_of_Berceto&action=edit&redlink=1) as well as those of [Pietramogolana](/source/Pietramogolana) and Roccaprebalza. Berceto was the birthplace of condottiero [Pier Maria II de' Rossi](/source/Pier_Maria_II_de'_Rossi).
