**Benjamin Philpot,** [MA](/source/Master_of_Arts_(Oxford,_Cambridge_and_Dublin)) (9 January 1790 in [Laxfield](/source/Laxfield) – 28 May 1889 in [Surbiton](/source/Surbiton)) was [Archdeacon of Man](/source/Archdeacon_of_Man)[1] from 22 May 1832 until 25 June 1839.[2]

Philpot was educated at [Christ's College, Cambridge](/source/Christ's_College,_Cambridge).[3] He held [incumbencies](/source/Incumbent_(ecclesiastical)) in [Walpole](/source/Walpole,_Suffolk), [Kirk Andreas](/source/Kirk_Andreas), [Great Cressingham](/source/Great_Cressingham), [Lydney](/source/Lydney) and [Dennington](/source/Dennington).[4]
