# Benjamin Caesar

**Benjamin Julius Caesar** (12 March 1797 – 1867) was an English professional [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who played from 1824 to 1830. He was mainly associated with [Godalming Cricket Club](/source/Godalming_Cricket_Club) and [Surrey](/source/Surrey_county_cricket_team_(pre-1846)) and made eleven known appearances in important matches. He was the father of [Julius Caesar](/source/Julius_Caesar_(cricketer)).
