'''Ben Kinmont''' (born 1963) is an artist, publisher, and antiquarian bookseller living in [Sebastopol, California](/source/Sebastopol%2C_California), United States. His work is concerned with the value structures surrounding an art practice and what happens when that practice is displaced into a non-art space. Since 1988 his work has been project-based with an interest in archiving and blurring the boundaries between artistic production, publishing, and curatorial practices.

In past years he taught courses in the Social Practices Program at the California College of Arts, as well as organized various workshops with students from the École des Beaux-Arts in France (Angers, Bordeaux, Bourges, and Valence), Cranbrook Academy in the US, and the Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands. Exhibitions include those at Air de Paris,<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.contemporaryartdaily.com/2014/07/ben-kinmont-at-air-de-paris/ |title=Ben Kinmont at Air de Paris |publisher=Contemporaryartdaily.com |date= |accessdate=2015-05-01}}</ref> Whitney Biennial 2014,<ref>{{cite web |url=http://whitney.org/Exhibitions/2014Biennial/BenKinmont |title=Ben Kinmont | Whitney Museum of American Art |publisher=Whitney.org |accessdate=2015-05-01 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150422022928/http://whitney.org/Exhibitions/2014Biennial/BenKinmont |archive-date=2015-04-22 |url-status=dead }}</ref> ICA (London),<ref>{{cite web |date= |title=Projects |url=https://benkinmont.com/projects/this-isnt-it |publisher=Benkinmont.com |accessdate=2015-05-01}}</ref> CNEAI (Chatou), the 25th International Biennial of Graphic Arts (Ljubljana), the Frac Languedoc-Roussillon (Montpellier), Documenta 11 (Kassel),<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.benkinmont.com/articles/documentasfoil.htm |title=Grabner, Michelle.
