**Bemanonga** is a rural municipality in [Madagascar](/source/Madagascar). It belongs to the [district](/source/Districts_of_Madagascar) of [Morondava](/source/Morondava_District), which is a part of [Menabe Region](/source/Menabe_Region). The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 22,000 in 2001 commune [census](/source/Census).[3]

Primary and junior level secondary education are available in town. The majority 52% of the population of the commune are farmers, while an additional 8% receives their livelihood from raising livestock. The most important crop is [rice](/source/Rice), while other important products are [peanuts](/source/Peanut) and [lima beans](/source/Lima_bean). Industry and services provide employment for 7% and 3% of the population, respectively. Additionally fishing employs 30% of the population.[3]

## Infrastructure

The municipality hosts the [Kimony Solar Hybride Central](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kimony_Solar_Hybride_Central&action=edit&redlink=1) power station.[4]

## Geography

Bemanonga is a suburb of [Morondava](/source/Morondava) and is situated at 12 km distance only alongside the [National road 35](/source/Route_nationale_35_(Madagascar)). It hosts the [Morondava Airport](/source/Morondava_Airport).

## National Parks

The [Andranomena Special Reserve](/source/Andranomena_Reserve) and the [Menabe Antimena](/source/Menabe_Antimena)[5] New Protected Area are situated in the territory of the municipality of Bemanonga.
