'''Bayramiye''', '''Bayramiyya''', or '''Bayramism''' is a [Turkish](/source/Turkic_peoples) [Sufi](/source/Sufi) order ([Tariqa](/source/Tariqah)) founded by [Haji Bayram Veli](/source/Hac%C4%B1_Bayram-%C4%B1_Veli) ''(Hacı Bayram-ı Veli)'' in [Ankara](/source/Ankara) around the year 1400 AD. The order spread to the then [Ottoman](/source/Ottoman_Empire) capital [Istanbul](/source/Istanbul) where there were several [Tekkes](/source/Zawiyya) and into the [Balkans](/source/Balkans), especially in [Bosnia](/source/Eyalet_of_Bosnia), [Macedonia](/source/Macedonia_(region)) and [Greece](/source/Greece). The order also spread into [Egypt](/source/Egypt) where a Tekke was found in the capital, [Cairo](/source/Cairo).
