'''Battle 7''' was a professional wrestling [television special](/source/television_special) event produced by [New Japan Pro-Wrestling](/source/New_Japan_Pro-Wrestling) (NJPW) that took place on January 4, 1995 in the [Tokyo Dome](/source/Tokyo_Dome). Battle 7 was the fourth [January 4 Tokyo Dome Show](/source/January_4_Tokyo_Dome_Show) held by NJPW. The show drew 52,500 spectators and $4,800,000 in ticket sales.<ref name=Jan4-95/>

Besides NJPW wrestlers, the show also featured [Sting](/source/Sting_(wrestler)) from [World Championship Wrestling](/source/World_Championship_Wrestling) (WCW) and former WCW stars [The Steiner Brothers](/source/The_Steiner_Brothers) ([Rick Steiner](/source/Rick_Steiner) and [Scott Steiner](/source/Scott_Steiner)), as well as freelance wrestlers [Tiger Jeet Singh](/source/Tiger_Jeet_Singh) and [Tiger Jeet Singh, Jr.](/source/Tiger_Ali_Singh) The show featured a four-man  "Final Countdown BVD" tournament, named after NJPW sponsor [BVD](/source/BVD).

The 1995 show marked the first time a non-NJPW or WCW title was defended, [Shinjiro Otani](/source/Shinjiro_Otani) defending the [UWA World Welterweight Championship](/source/UWA_World_Welterweight_Championship) (originated in the [Mexican](/source/Mexico) [Universal Wrestling Association](/source/Universal_Wrestling_Association)) against [El Samurai](/source/El_Samurai).

Before his death on November 23, 1994, [American Machine](/source/Art_Barr) was originally slated to challenge [Norio Honaga](/source/Norio_Honaga) for the [IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship](/source/IWGP_Junior_Heavyweight_Championship).
