# Batkiv

**Batkiv** (Ukrainian: Батьків) is a [village](/source/Village) (*selo*) in [Zolochiv Raion](/source/Zolochiv_Raion,_Lviv_Oblast), [Lviv Oblast](/source/Lviv_Oblast), in western [Ukraine](/source/Ukraine). It belongs to [Pidkamin settlement hromada](/source/Pidkamin_settlement_hromada), one of the [hromadas](/source/Hromada) of Ukraine.[1]

From 1918 to 1939 the village was in [Tarnopol Voivodeship](/source/Tarnopol_Voivodeship) in [Poland](/source/Poland).

Until 18 July 2020, Batkiv belonged to [Brody Raion](/source/Brody_Raion). The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Lviv Oblast to seven. The area of Brody Raion was merged into Zolochiv Raion.[2][3]
