**Basse-Pointe** (bɑs pwɛ̃t; [Antillean Creole](/source/Antillean_Creole): *Baspwent*, baspwɛ̃t) is a town and [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [French](/source/France) [overseas department and region](/source/Overseas_department_of_France), and [island](/source/Island) of [Martinique](/source/Martinique).
