# Bas Takken

**Bas Takken** (born 3 July 1999) is a Dutch [para swimmer](/source/Para_swimming) who represents the Netherlands in international level competitions.[1]

## Career

Takken represented the Netherlands at the [2020 Summer Paralympics](/source/2020_Summer_Paralympics) in the [400 metre freestyle S10](/source/Swimming_at_the_2020_Summer_Paralympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_400_metre_freestyle_S10) event and won a silver medal. He also competed in the [200 metre individual medley SM10](/source/Swimming_at_the_2020_Summer_Paralympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_200_metre_individual_medley_SM10) event and won a bronze medal.[2]
