# Barrow Rangers GAA

**Barrow Rangers GAA** is a [Gaelic Athletic Association](/source/Gaelic_Athletic_Association) club in [Paulstown](/source/Paulstown), [County Kilkenny](/source/County_Kilkenny), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland). The club is affiliated to the [Kilkenny County Board](/source/Kilkenny_GAA) and is primarily concerned with the game of [hurling](/source/Hurling).

## History

Located in the village of [Paulstown](/source/Paulstown), on the [Carlow](/source/County_Carlow)–[Kilkenny](/source/County_Kilkenny) border, Barrow Rangers GAA Club was founded in 1906.[1] The club has spent most of its existence operating in the junior grades, winning three [Kilkenny JHC](/source/Kilkenny_Junior_Hurling_Championship) titles between 1982 and 1990.[2][3] That year, Barrow Rangers also claimed the first of two [Kilkenny IFC](/source/Kilkenny_Intermediate_Football_Championship) titles. After returning to the junior ranks in both codes, the club won a Kilkenny JFC title in 2022, as well as a [Kilkenny PJHC](/source/Kilkenny_Premier_Junior_Hurling_Championship) title in 2025.[4]
