# Barnes Sound

**Barnes Sound** is a [bay](/source/Bay) located at the southern tip of [Florida](/source/Florida), between [Key Largo](/source/Key_Largo) and the mainland. [1] It has been described as part of [Biscayne Bay](/source/Biscayne_Bay) or of the Biscayne Bay System.[2][3]
