'''Barne Inlet''' ({{Coord|80|15|S|160|15|E|source:GNIS|display=inline,title}}) is a [reentrant](/source/Re-entrant_(terrain)) (an inlet formed by two spurs of land) on the west side of the [Ross Ice Shelf](/source/Ross_Ice_Shelf), on the coast of [Antarctica](/source/Antarctica). It lies between [Cape Kerr](/source/Cape_Kerr) and [Cape Selborne](/source/Cape_Selborne). It is about {{convert|17|nmi|km|-1}} wide, and is occupied by the lower part of [Byrd Glacier](/source/Byrd_Glacier).

It was discovered by the [British National Antarctic Expedition](/source/British_National_Antarctic_Expedition) (1901–1904) and named for Lieutenant [Michael Barne](/source/Michael_Barne), [Royal Navy](/source/Royal_Navy), a member of the expedition, who with [Sub-Lieutenant](/source/Sub-Lieutenant) [George Mulock](/source/George_Mulock) mapped the coastline this far south in 1903.<ref name=gnis/>
