**Barisal-6** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [Abul Hossain Khan](/source/Abul_Hossain_Khan) is the incumbent member of Parliament from this constituency.

The constituency encompasses [Bakerganj Upazila](/source/Bakerganj_Upazila).[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
