# Barekese

**Barekese** is a town and capital of the [Atwima Nwabiagya District](/source/Atwima_Nwabiagya_Municipal_District) within [Ashanti Region](/source/Ashanti_Region), [Ghana](/source/Ghana).[1] It is home to the [Barekese Dam](/source/Barekese_Dam) and [Barekese Senior High School](/source/Barekese_Senior_High_School).[2]
