**Barbara Reich Freiberg** is a retired educator and politician serving as a member of the [Louisiana House of Representatives](/source/Louisiana_House_of_Representatives) from the 70th district since 2020.[1] In 2010 Freiberg was an elected member of the [East Baton Rouge Parish School Board](/source/East_Baton_Rouge_Parish_School_Board) for District 7 and was re-elected in 2014. She was elected to the [Metro Council](/source/Baton_Rouge%2C_Louisiana#Metropolitan_council) in [Baton Rouge](/source/Baton_Rouge) on December 10, 2016, representing District 12 until her election to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2019.
