It had its capital in [Baramba](/source/Baramba%2C_India) town. The last ruler acceded to the [Indian Union](/source/Dominion_of_India) on 1 January 1948. Baramba state was made part of [Cuttack district](/source/Cuttack_district) of [Odisha](/source/Odisha) in 1948.

==History==
